U AMBA is a South Africa-based advocacy network driving transnational solidarity and strategic capacity for LGBTIQ+ and feminist collectives resisting a coordinated global backlash against human rights. Their core research systematically mapped the operational patterns and financing mechanisms used by anti-rights actors globally.
I led the art direction, engineered the foundational UX/UI website layouts within Figma, and developed the custom illustration system. To finalize the digital product, I directed, supervised, and conducted a thorough technical hand-off to a local design contractor in South Africa, who completed the localized platform adaptation and responsive deployment.
Strategy & Visual Co-Creation
The visual system set out to reflect the organisation's collaborative strength. I structured the Figma layouts around a vibrant colour palette, stylised monotone imagery with cinematic grain, and colour accents that bring in a playful energy, capturing the spirit of the people behind the grassroots research.
The platform functions as a highly collaborative digital hub for tools, research, and resource mapping. The interface design solved the core challenge of making critical, high-risk data accessible, translating dense text into structured, mobile-responsive blocks that empower global users to safely navigate and drive collective action.
