JornadasDAR was an engaging and thought-provoking event that brought together collectives and social movements to discuss proposals for action. It explored the intricate relationship between democracy, algorithms, and resistance in our modern world, diving into the challenges, opportunities, and potential solutions that arise from this intersection.
The conference covered a range of timely themes, including the influence of algorithms on political decision-making, the societal implications of data surveillance, and the role of digital activism. Complex topics such as algorithmic bias, artificial intelligence ethics, and strategies for countering the erosion of democratic norms in the digital age were thoroughly explored. The interactive workshops provided a platform for critical thinking and collaborative problem-solving. Participants had the opportunity to join forces with like-minded individuals, exploring innovative approaches to leverage technology and collective action for positive change.
Our goal was to create a website and materials that reflected the essence of activism, decoloniality, and open knowledge.
Working with the talented team, we developed a vibrant visual identity that encompassed the spirit of the conference. Seamlessly integrating various design elements, we strategized and coordinated our efforts across different time zones and disciplines, ensuring the cohesive development of all project assets.
The resulting website showcased the conference, held in Barcelona and Madrid, and attracted activists, scholars, and others interested in alternative AI approaches.
