JornadasDAR was a series of conferences and workshops that took place in Barcelona and Madrid, and attracted activists, academics, and others interested in alternative approaches to AI. Here they discussed proposals for action on activism, decoloniality, and open knowledge around artificial intelligence. The intricate relationship between democracy, algorithms, and resistance in our modern world was also explored, delving into the challenges, opportunities, and potential solutions that arise from this intersection.

The conference addressed a variety of timely topics, including the influence of algorithms on political decision-making, the social implications of data surveillance, and the role of digital activism. Complex issues such as algorithmic bias, the ethics of artificial intelligence, and strategies for countering the erosion of democratic norms in the digital era were explored. Interactive workshops provided a platform for critical thinking and collaborative problem-solving. Participants had the opportunity to join like-minded individuals, exploring innovative approaches to harnessing technology and collective action for positive change.
